A mother simply knows!
Let’s put it into prose:
The ups, downs, highs and lows,
An eye for the right clothes,
When unrest stirs and blows,
She see within shadows,
The workings of “Logos”,
All of life’s dominoes,
How they anastomose…
But why “this” mom? GOD chose!
He works through her…HE knows!
Nineteen years ago, this journey began,
God proposed, and I accepted his plan.
Jesus chooses the weak and makes them strong,
He doesn’t say “good luck” but comes along!
Gift and mystery…it seems like a dream,
Instruments of love…through whom he redeems.
So touching to feel his heart-felt esteem!
Grateful, so grateful to be on his team!
Christmas helps us recall:
When “THE BIG” became small…
“The Child” simply enthralls!
Redeeming our pitfalls,
Crushing Satan’s cabal,
Transforming Saul’s to Paul’s,
Creating protocol…
A complete overhaul!
A lesson for us all!!!
Deep, deep behind the scenes?
No glitz, glory or gleam?
Exhausted? Out of steam?
Sacrifice…goes unseen?
The question must be asked:
What role have you been cast?
With Christ’s love you’ve been tasked!
Trust in Jesus! Holdfast!
Heaven is your forecast!!!
Patiently pursuing…peace?
Crashing cacophony?…cease!
Contemplating Christ?…creates calm,
Bringing brokenness?…blessed balm,
Anxiety?…acquires aplomb!
Harrowing, hectic holidays?
Please Ponder! Pray! Purify! Praise!!!
Slouching on this earthly shore?
Listening to waves crash and roar?
Tossing sticks to labradors?
Quick-sand…prisoner of war?
Wake up! Jump into the sea!
Crush your sensuality!
Christ is your faithful trustee,
By your side, with bel esprit,
Destination? Heavenly!
The wheel of life seems to pick up steam,
As the Holidays become the theme.
Surreptitious shopping…too extreme?
Worst case scenarios…your daydream?
Lost harmony…on life’s balance beam?
Prayerfully ponder: what is your scheme?
Get off the wheel, slow down the whirl,
Make time for God, away from the swirl!
Kids MOST NEED your peace, the priceless pearl!
Open your hearts, let Christ’s love unfurl!
