From our mother’s womb, our life began.
As tottlers we loved to hold her hand.
Shopping, cooking on the frying pan,
No time to read, rest or work her tan.

Mom’s hearts burn bright, yet are crowned with thorns,
Their kid’s digressions cause them to mourn.
Glasses are broken, trousers are torn,
They break rules from which they were forewarned…

Sharp migraine headaches and sleepless nights,
Resolving scuffles, breaking up fights.
Offering wisdom, precious insights…
Mom’s firm Faith is a beacon of light.

This “school of love” is taught without pay.
Mom’s strong example, shows us the way.
Her warm, gentle smile kept us all at bay…
I love you mom, Happy Mother’s Day!!!

Death
To self
Lets Christ live.
Love enemies,
Forgive trespassers,
Keep your anger in check,
Temperance in food and drink,
Control your disordered passions….
Your love for Christ must drive this effort.
Those who sow in tears, reap with shouts of joy!!

War
ensues.
The struggle
within each heart
is fought in silence. 
The battle lines are drawn:
my own way vs. God’s way, 
selfishness vs. selflessness.
It’s very easy to be deceived.
Pray for wisdom to discern, strength to fight!

Simple
Thank you, God!
Is not enough.
Christ wants all of you.
Your mind, your heart, your will.
Give him the keys of your soul!
Put aside your personal plans,
Let his sculptor’s hand mold and shape you.
True freedom is unleashed through surrender!

The greatest treasure and the finest pearl,
More valuable than wealth or power.
So difficult to find in this world, 
In the garden of life, a rare flower.

It’s deeper than feelings or emotions,
Built upon shared values and convictions.
True Faith drives this passionate devotion,
A REAL relationship, not mere fiction.

So many lonely, broken, bleeding souls!
Frustrated love, unfulfilled desires.
Healing begins when Jesus is our goal,
With his gaze, our hearts are set on fire!

Discover this friendship down on your knees,
In Christ alone will your hearts be appeased!

Bulbs buried in cold dirt. 
Hidden, quietly growing…
Spring bloom bursts beauty!

Glamour, glory, and glitz…
Yearning for Facebook hits…
Obsession on “looks”, “wits”…
Blinded by satan’s blitz…
Some lose hope, call it quits…

The treasure lies within,
In Jesus, not in sin.
Dying to self, you win,
Form hearts of flesh, not tin.
Remember, you’re Christ’s kin!
Be a saint…please begin!!

If only you could see…
The hidden pains of souls.
What appears to be glee…
Is often black as coal.

The loss of a loved one,
The moral pain of vice,
Relationships “undone”,
Shattered hearts, cold as ice.

Betrayed…or belittled,
Forgotten…forsaken,
Weakened…. wrongly whittled.
Suffering…so shaken!

If only you could see…
Through the eyes of Our Lord,
If you could hear his plea:
“Please stretch your heart strings chords!!!”

Living in the truth will set you free,
From envy, pride…the culture of “me.”
“If it feels good do it”…But why? Why???
Unmask Satan’s deceitful disguise,
Don’t fall for his labyrinth of lies!

Reason and Faith should govern our wills,
Not feelings, fear or fallacious frills.

Christ trudged truth’s trail right up to the cross,
True freedom won big, the devil lost!
Confession frees your wings to fly high,
For freedom to reign, your sins must die!
“Live in truth” on this fourth of July!

Partly cloudy/partly sunny?
Grim faced or kind of funny?
Glasses half empty or half full?
Conquer your fears and grab the bull!

People of Faith see life brighter,
Their joyful hearts are much lighter.
Our goal is to serve, not receive,…
See Christ in others and believe!
