Annual appeal…please help!!
Thy Kingdom Come!
Dear Friends in Christ,
It has been a real pleasure to serve all of you through my daily videos, reflections and LifeZette articles. Your supportive comments and emails are very encouraging, and I am glad that this simple service has been useful to you and your families.
Once again, I would like to make my annual request for help. I know that many of you have already been extremely generous in showing your financial support both in DC and NY, so for those who have already given, thank you!! With 14 priests, seminarians, and mission corps young men currently living in our house in DC and 10 priests living in our house in NY, we have a combined annual budget of over $300,000 and hope to send an additional $30,000 to our seminary in Cheshire, Ct. to support their needs as well. All donations will be divided between NY and DC. Please consider being an ANGEL FOR A DAY, whose support will be felt all year by many, by using the link below to make a tax deductible donation*:

Any support that you can give would be deeply appreciated, and I am, as always, very grateful for your generosity. Be assured of my prayers for you and your families!

All Saints Day

“And the more I considered Christianity, the more I found that while it had established a rule and order, the chief aim of of that order was to give room for good things to run wild.” C.S. Lewis
The main focus of all the Saints was not so much to avoid sin, as to evangelize others through their lives of extreme virtue and self-giving!
God bless,
Fr. Michael Sliney, LC
Venerating vs. Worshiping
Moderation in drink

“Drink because you are happy, but never because you are miserable.” C.S. Lewis
Do you “need” to have a few glasses of wine every night? What are you “numbing” and why not try more prayer and exercise?
God bless,
Fr. Michael Sliney, LC

What is running your soul?

“Now God designed the human machine to run on Himself. He Himself is the fuel our spirits were designed to burn, or the food our spirits were designed to feed on. There is no other.” G.K. Chesterton
What are you feeding your soul? God’s grace and his love as the fruit of daily prayer and a strong Sacramental life?…trust me, you will last longer, perform better and run smoother over a long period of time!
God bless,
Fr. Michael Sliney, LC
