Darkness, doubt, despair…pain?

Devil’s deception…feign?

Watching, wondering…strain?

Working, worrying…migraine?

Live in the moment…now!

Be faithful to your vows!

Don’t ask God why? But how?

Whatever He allows!

Embrace His plan…kowtow!

Doing dishes…diligently?

Cooking casserole…carefully?

Chauffeuring children…charmingly?

Pardon!  Proceeding prayerfully?

Listening, looking…lovingly?

Communicate Christ…cheerfully!

Jesus, just, Jesus…joyously!!!

Faithful friend…heart healer,

Best bud…conscience cleaner.

Divination dealer!

Christ…constantly calling,

Souls…silently stalling?

Absurdly appalling!

Start flying…stop crawling!

Controlling cholesterol?

Augmenting abs- above all?

Building bodily beauty?

Daily diligence…duty?

Perhaps…pathetic pitfall?

Spirituality…stall?

Prayerfulness produces peace,

Inspirational increase…

Concerns, complaints, chaos…cease!

Body or soul? What’s your goal?

Pondering…political polls?

Generating…grandiose goals?

Calculating…careful control?

Silence…soothes saturated souls!

Iphones, ipads, itunes, laptops…

Take a quiet break from these props!

Enough running around…chop, chop, chop!

Leave the check list aside…and stop!

Give Christ the wheel…do a swap!

Make God’s providence your backdrop!

Wikileaks warts, deadly darts,

Anxious angst…darkness- DEPART!

Look inside…What do you find?

Ask what shapes your state of mind?

Journey with Faith, don’t walk blind,

Fight back with love, please be kind!

Protect your peace, don’t unwind,

Be holy, let your light shine!!

Incessant introspection,

Inspecting imperfection,

Ignoring intersection.

Inciting…INTERJECTION!

Open hearts…ready to serve,

Notice needs…try to observe!

Dig really deep…don’t conserve,

Give Christ…the love he deserves!

Love is so practical, love is REAL,

Based on action, not on how you feel!

Supporting the annual appeal,

Not poking other’s Achilles’ heel,

Going the extra mile…not piecemeal,

Giving when it hurts…without a squeal:

Twice baked potatoes…a home cooked meal,

Good manners, patience…being genteel,

Behind the scenes…without the newsreel,

Compassionate love…not hearts of steel,

Praying for souls…in a Church, yes, kneel!

Walking in Christ’s footsteps- our Ideal!

Climbing ladders all the time?

Success…your internal rhyme?

It can creep in…so sublime!

Long work days…later bedtime,

Always higher…climb, climb, climb!

At some point, death’s bell will chime,

Ignore their hullabaloo!
May Christ be the friend they turn to!
Deep faith unites…like super glue,
Little eyes absorb all…be true!!
Kids “know”…they can really see through,
Make fidelity your “adieu”,
Your life is their future preview!
