We need more silence!

October 24, 2021 by Michael Sliney

“We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence… We need silence to be able to touch souls.” – St. Mother Teresa

Inner peace

October 17, 2021 by Michael Sliney

“Consider your souls like the image of a surface of a lake, above which the sun is shining. If the surface of the lake is peaceful and tranquil, the sun will be reflected in this lake; and the more peaceful the lake, the more perfectly will it be reflected. If, on the contrary, the surface of the lake is agitated, undulating, then the image of the sun cannot be reflected in it. The more our soul is peaceful and tranquil, the more God is reflected in it, the more His image expresses itself in us, the more His grace acts through us.” Fr. Jacques Philippe

Help needed for our house renovation!

September 27, 2021 by Michael Sliney

Thy Kingdom Come!
Dear Friends in Christ,
It has been a pleasure to serve all of you through my daily videos, reflections and poems.  Your supportive comments and emails are very encouraging, and I am glad this service has been useful to you and your families.
Once again, I would like to make my annual request for help.  I know that many of you have already been extremely generous in showing your financial support for our house renovation here in DC, so for those who have already given, thank you!!  (I also ask that my friends from the NY Tri-state focus on supporting the padres in Rye, NY)   Please consider being an ANGEL FOR A DAY, by using the link below to make a tax deductible donation*:

Online: https://secure.acceptiva.com/?cst=7Vzn6J

Thankfully, we have finished the first three phases of our house renovation which include a new and re-structured roof,  a new chapel (pictured below), a new living room, dining area, conference room and youth team meeting area, a newly paved driveway, and the total transformation of the living area for the Regnum Christi Mission Corps.  Phase 4, the FINAL PHASE of this effort, will focus on replacing all the bathrooms and laying down flooring on our ten bedroom wing that was built nearly 30 years ago.

Any support that you can give would be deeply appreciated, and I am, as always, very grateful for your generosity.   Be assured of my prayers for you and your families!

Seraphim: $5000 (or more!)

Cherubim: $2500

Archangel: $1000

Celestial Choir: $500

Guardian Angel: $250

St. Michael: $100

St. Gabriel: $10 or more

*(We are a 501 c-3 organization so all donations are fully tax deductible).
