Thy Kingdom Come!
Dear Friends, in Christ,
“Do not be afraid. Do not be satisfied with mediocrity. Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” St. John Paul II
Behind every peak of accomplishment (especially in the spiritual realm), there is another one that God has lined up for you. Don’t grow complacent! Allow Christ to challenge you and gently push you wherever he wants to take you…

Dear Friends, in Christ,
“Nothing ever happens in the world that does not happen first inside human hearts.” Venerable Fulton J. Sheen
The battle of the mind and the heart, reasons and the emotions/passions, the Holy Spirit vs. the evil spirit…this is the origin of all actions, and our life of prayer and life of grace will have a huge impact on the outcome. Make time for God and he will be there to help you win these silent battles.
God bless,
Fr. Michael Sliney, LC

Dear Friends, in Christ,
“To say the very thing you really mean…nothing more or less or other than what you really mean; that’s the whole art and joy of words.” CS Lewis
Being sincere, direct and transparent is generally a good thing, but this does not exclude prudence and charity in how you communicate.

Dear Friends, in Christ,
“His grief he will not forget; but it will not darken his heart, it will teach him wisdom.” J.R.R. Tolkien
My 90 year old mom has buried two husbands, one son, 2 brothers and one sister, (along with 3 miscarriages). She has suffered various physical pains most of her life, and with her super sensitive heart, she feels everything more intensely than most. But her faith is unflappable and her love for God is indomitable…and her spoken words are usually chock full of wisdom and deep insight. Thank you, mom, for your joyful acceptance of God’s loving plan!
