The wheel of life seems to pick up steam,
As the Holidays become the theme.
Surreptitious shopping…too extreme?
Worst case scenarios…your daydream?
Lost harmony…on life’s balance beam?
Prayerfully ponder: what is your scheme?
Get off the wheel, slow down the whirl,
Make time for God, away from the swirl!
Kids MOST NEED your peace, the priceless pearl!
Brittle body bellowing?
Mitigating…mellowing?
Headache…horribly hurting?
Aggressively alerting?
Belittled, bewitched, betrayed?
Pain permanently pervades!
Christians, cease complaining!
Tough trials? Training!
Sanctity? Straining!
Reward? Reigning!
Deep, deep behind the scenes?
No glitz, glory or gleam?
Exhausted? Out of steam?
Sacrifice…goes unseen?
The question must be asked:
What role have you been cast?
With Christ’s love you’ve been tasked!
Trust in Jesus! Holdfast!
Heaven is your forecast!!!
Twenty years ago, this journey began,
God proposed, and I accepted his plan.
Jesus chooses the weak and makes them strong,
He doesn’t say “good luck” but comes along!
Gift and mystery…it seems like a dream,
Instruments of love…through whom he redeems.
So touching to feel his heart-felt esteem!
Grateful, so grateful to be on his team!
Trimming the waste line?
Limiting fine wine?
Less golf…maybe nine?
If I may opine:
Be more genuine,
Less rough, more benign,
Build up, don’t malign,
With a smile, don’t whine!
Follow God’s design!
Let His bright light shine!!
“Ho-hum” days…are you just “surviving”?
Working, cooking, cleaning and driving?
Winter doldrums…feelings are diving?
Let’s shake it up, get some reviving!
More prayer, more love…spiritual striving!
All for Christ! It’s time to start thriving!!!
A mother simply knows!
Let’s put it into prose:
The ups, downs, highs and lows,
An eye for the right clothes,
When unrest stirs and blows,
She see within shadows,
The workings of “Logos”,
All of life’s dominoes,
How they anastomose…
But why “this” mom? GOD chose!
He works through her…HE knows!
To surf monster waves, one must leave the shore;
Comforts, complacencies, cares…and much more!
Wicked wipeouts, jellyfish, man of war…
Fighting the tide, fending off sharks…valour!
But to be in the “tunnel”…evermore!!
What do you want? What are you looking for?
Start surfing in Christ’s diplomatic corps!
Soul stalled? Need a jump start?
Over-hauled? No spare parts?
Appalled? Falling apart?
Grace installed? Then take heart!
You’re called!! Jesus’ counterpart!!
God’s superb work of art!!
Behold beauty! Let’s begin:
Vibrant virtue…not much sin,
Simply selfless…deep within,
Patient prayer…secret linchpin!
Tough times? Take it on the chin!
Carrying crosses? Strive to win!
Follow Christ…your next of kin!
