Kind words
“Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.” St. Teresa of Calcutta
Words of affirmation, words of gratitude, words of justified praise…are so seldom heard today, and make such a huge impact on the person receiving them.

One step at a time
Lean into Christ!
Thy Kingdom Come!
Dear Friends in Christ,
“How often I failed in my duty to God, because I was not leaning on the strong pillar of prayer.” –St. Teresa of Avila
The Battle of Bataan was lost because the Japanese completely cut off the supply lines of the American troops and let the ravages of the jungle devour them…only then, in their weakest moment, they attacked. Many of the American soldiers were not strong enough to move or even pull the trigger, and the defeat was disastrous. The devil employs this same strategy in convincing us to cut off our time of prayer. Keep your soul fed with grace! Go to daily Mass, regular Confession, pray your daily rosary, and Gospel meditation…and have no fear, with the help of God’s grace you will emerge victorious!
The “why”?
Trust in God
TKC!
“Whatever did not fit in with my plan did lie within the plan of God. I have an ever deeper and firmer belief that nothing is merely an accident when seen in the light of God, that my whole life down to the smallest details has been marked out for me in the plan of Divine Providence and has a completely coherent meaning in God’s all-seeing eyes. And so I am beginning to rejoice in the light of glory wherein this meaning will be unveiled to me.” St. Edith Stein
It all comes down to trust…God loves you and he will be trying to help you, even though some times, it may come in the form of tough love.
God bless,
Fr. Michael Sliney, LC
Anointing of the sick
Jesus is always close
“There’s nothing more calming in difficult moments that knowing there’s some one fighting with you.” St. Teresa of Calcutta
You may not see Him, you may not feel Him, you may not hear Him…but never doubt that Jesus loves you intensely and he is very close, right by your side!
God bless,
Fr. Michael Sliney, LC
Look for the good
Slow down!
“Without patience, we will learn less in life. We will see less. We will feel less. We will hear less. Ironically, rush and more usually mean less.” St. Mother Teresa
BE in the moment, right here, right now with the person who is right in front of you…and allow God’s love to start working!
God bless,
Fr. Michael Sliney, LC
