“I know what I want, I have a goal, an opinion, I have a religion and love. Let me be myself and then I am satisfied. I know that I’m a woman, a woman with inward strength and plenty of courage.” Anne Frank
Inspirational thoughts
Working through doubts
“Our doubts are traitors
And make us lose the good we oft might win” Shakespeare
And make us lose the good we oft might win” Shakespeare
Sometimes it is difficult to see a solution or a way out…pray to the Holy Spirit and he will give you divine light and inspiration! Don’t doubt and give up!

God is always working
“The things we see every day are the things we never see at all.” C.S. Lewis
God is always watching, always caring, always looking out for us and our families…be sure to thank him for these “moments of love” each day!
Surrender to Christ
TKC!
“In other words, fallen man is not simply an imperfect creature who needs improvement: he is a rebel who must lay down his arms.” G.K. Chesterton
Put up the white flag and surrender to Christ…allow him to gradually transform you from within!
God bless,
Fr. Michael Sliney, LC
Complimentarity
“I have known many happy marriages, but never a compatible one. The whole aim of marriage is to fight through and survive the instant when incompatibility becomes unquestionable. For a man and a woman, as such, are incompatible.” C.S. Lewis
Instead of focusing on your incompatibility, try focusing on your complementarity…you can both learn from each other!
God bless,
Fr. Michael Sliney, LC
Kindness
“If I can put one touch of rosy sunset into the life of any man or woman, I shall feel that I have worked with God.” C.S. Lewis
Faith and reason
The romantic seeks only to get his head into the heavens. The rationalist seeks to get the heavens into his head – and it is his head that splits.” C.S. Lewis
Our Catholic Faith is “reasonable” but not rational; there is nothing in our Faith that contradicts reason. Reason can lead us to the door of the mysteries of our Faith, but only Faith can respond to the mystery.
God bless,
Fr. Michael Sliney, LC
Light of Christ
“Joy, which was the small publicity of the pagan, is the gigantic secret of the Christian.” C.S. Lewis
Christian joy reigns in those who allow the light of Christ and the love of Christ to work in them and through them. It shows!
Avoiding Satan’s snares
“Life is indeed terribly complicated—to a man who has lost his principles.” C.S. Lewis
Small ethical concessions here and there, can eventually lead you to be completely entangled in the devil’s web. Watch and pray, and take advantage of the Sacrament of Reconciliation to free you from Satan’s snares!
God bless,
Fr. Michael Sliney, LC
