Thy Kingdom Come!
Dear Friends, in Christ,
“In the light of Mary, the Church sees in the face of women the reflection of a beauty which mirrors the loftiest sentiments of which the human heart is capable: the self-offering totality of love; the strength that is capable of bearing the greatest sorrows; limitless fidelity and tireless devotion to work; the ability to combine penetrating intuition with words of support and encouragement.” St. John Paul II
Woman are a huge blessing to the Church, the family and the world. Please ladies, live up to this lofty ideal…we all need your holiness!
God bless,
Fr. Michael Sliney, LC

Dear Friends, in Christ,
“Don’t let your sins turn into bad habits.” St. Teresa of Avila
Bad language starts small and can easily grow into an ugly monster…and yes, your kids will assimilate this behavior. Catch it and eradicate it…self-mastery is needed!

Children’s continual…clamoring,
Crying, complaining…chattering,
Ceaselessly cackling…clattering.
Mother’s maternal…mannering,
Graciously giving…gathering,
Beamingly blissful…bantering,
Always attentive…answering,
Selflessly serving…staggering!

Dear Friends, in Christ,
“Family prayer has its own characteristic qualities. It is prayer offered in common, husband and wife together, parents and children together…by reason of their dignity and mission, Christian parents have the specific responsibility of educating their children in prayer, introducing them to gradual discovery of the mystery of God and to personal dialogue with Him…” St. John Paul II
Saying grace before meals, attending Mass on Sunday, praying the rosary together, reading and reflecting on Scripture together…all powerful ways to introduce your children to a deeper friendship with Christ.
God bless,
Fr. Michael Sliney, LC

Dear Friends, in Christ,
“Enough had been thought, and said, and felt, and imagined. It was about time that something should be done.” CS Lewis
“When I was hungry you gave me food, when I was thirsty, you gave me drink…” (Mt. 25: 35) When was the last time you served at a soup kitchen or simply gave your time to help those need?
