Late for carpool, over cooking the rice?
Slipping into an occasional vice?
Pushed way too hard, tired of sacrifice?
As a friend of Christ, I have some advice:
Perfection is not the focus of God,
He knows that you are inherently flawed!
He rules with mercy…not an iron rod,
It’s your love and effort that he applauds!
Lean into Him…leave aside the façade!!

“Never give up on prayer, and should you find dryness and difficulty, persevere in it for this very reason. God often desires to see what love your soul has, and love is not tried by ease and satisfaction.” St. John of the Cross
Stick with it, don’t worry about your feelings or the apparent dryness…Jesus is there and he is simply delighted that you are spending this time with him.
God bless,

“Anyone who has a special devotion to the sacred Eucharist and who tries to repay Christ’s infinite love for us with an eager and unselfish love of his own, will experience and fully understand—and this will bring great delight and benefit to his soul—just how precious is a life hidden with Christ in God and just how worthwhile it is to carry on a conversation with Christ, for there is nothing more consoling here on earth, nothing more efficacious for progress along the paths of holiness.” Blessed Paul VI

“Look for yourself, and you will find in the long run only hatred, loneliness, despair, rage, ruin, and decay. But look for Christ and you will find Him, and with Him everything else thrown in.”
― C.S. Lewis
Do you live to serve or be served, to make others happy or to “work it” so they can make you happy? Your answer decides how happy you will be today.
