A special thanks to Tony MacDonnell, a Regnum Christi consecrated man, who braved the snow and rough weather for today’s Brooklyn half-marathon. He ran a 1:29 last year, but this year, he stayed back with me to pace me along the path for my own PR of 1:43….beautiful day of brotherhood!
God bless,

“We must remember that each one of our children is destined for a mission in life…there is some special work for God, which will remain undone unless he or she does it, some place in life, which no one else can fill.” Janet Erskine Stuart, R.S.C.J.
St. Ann and St. Joachim were the parents of our Blessed Mother…behind every great saint, there are usually very holy parents! Happy Feast of the Immaculate Conception!!

Iron sharpens iron. Imagine the spiritual conversations these two saints had together! Do your “best” friends spiritually inspire and challenge you?

“The great majority of people will go on observing forms that cannot be explained; they will keep Christmas Day with Christmas gifts and Christmas benedictions; they will continue to do it; and some day suddenly wake up and discover why.” G.K. Chesterton
Keep Christ in Christmas, and please educate your kids in the Faith to help them see the incredible gift of Christ’s coming to earth! We should all be asking Christ right now, what special gift he would like from us during this Advent season? Greater patience? Greater kindness to one particular person? Ask him…and listen, He will let you know!

“Genius is initiative on fire.” G.K. Chesterton
Simply “doing what are you told” is not the stuff of saints…it’s finding creative, hidden and effective ways to serve others at work and at home, going beyond the call of duty and sacrificing to the point where it begins to hurt.
