“The feeling remains that God is on the journey, too.” St. Teresa of Avila
God is definitely on the journey to accompany and help us, but we need to remember he is there and acknowledge our need for him.

“If certain thoughts bother you, it is devil who causes you to worry, and not God, Who, being the spirit of peace, grants you tranquility.” – St. Padre Pio
The devil is laying traps all the time…stop and ponder, and ask, “Where will this thought eventually take me? What will this look like tomorrow or in two weeks? Does this thought provoke peace or anxiety?”

“If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.” St. Mother Teresa
Everyone should make time for a little homeless ministry…so powerful to see Jesus hidden in these poor, suffering souls!

“Men go abroad to admire the heights of mountains, the mighty waves of the sea, the broad tides of rivers, the compass of the ocean, and the circuits of the stars, yet pass over the mystery of themselves without a thought.” St. Augustine
So many travel near and far for views like this one….but how many take time to go deep into themselves and discover the gentle voice of God within? Make time for personal reflection and prayer, journey into the mysterious tunnel of yourself and listen to God’s whisper!

“If you believe what you like in the gospels, and reject what you don’t like, it is not the gospel you believe, but yourself.” St. Augustine
The four Gospels and the Catechism of the Catholic Church clearly lay out the core beliefs of the Catholic Church…there is certainly room for some pastoral flexibility but the truth is pretty clear cut on both doctrinal and moral issues, laying out the pathway to inner peace and eternal life.
