Listening…
“Listening” to God?
Suffering..
“Flowers often grow more beautifully on dung-hills than in gardens that look beautifully kept.” St. Francis de Sales
Suffering is fertilizer for the soul!
Homily for this Sunday’s Gospel
Confession
“God never deserts a man, unless He is deserted by that man first. For even if a man shall have committed grievous sins once, twice, and a third time, God still looks for him, “so that he may be converted and live.” St. Caesarius of Arles
Are you embarrassed about your college days? Do you have some major bumps in your adult life? Have you turned away from God? Just look at St. Augustine (licentious lifestyle until 33), St. Mary Magdalene (former prostitute), St. Francis Xavier (party animal in college), and so many others. You too can be a Saint!! Trust in God’s infinite mercy, go to Confession, and don’t waste precious time and energy wallowing in the past!!
Take advantage of the Sacrament of Confession
Seeing Christ in others
“In the faces of men and women I see God.” Walt Whitman
