Keep climbing!
Muddy inclines, slippery rocks,
Dehydration and sweat soaked socks!
Tenacious ticks…hovering hawks,
Far away…out in the boondocks!
Sometimes God challenges us…hard!
Surprising…catching us off guard.
Uphill climbs are His “calling card”!
His motive? Love!…don’t disregard!
The view? Wow! A picture postcard!

“Drafting” Jesus
A square deal
“Let the watchwords of all our people be the old familiar watchwords of honesty, decency, fair-dealing, and commonsense….We must treat each man on his worth and merits as a man. We must see that each is given a square deal, because he is entitled to no more and should receive no less. The welfare of each of us is dependent fundamentally upon the welfare of all of us.” President Teddy Roosevelt
In business, there can be a lot of fine lines and grey areas, but everyone deserves a “square deal”, an honest brokering with clarity and fairness. This does not take away from being saavy, or shrewd or tenacious or well prepared…it’s a matter of simple justice. God notices and God will bless this effort!!
God bless,
Fr. Michael Sliney, LC
Through the merciful eyes of Jesus
TKC!
“To love another person is to see them as God intended them to be.” Fyodor Dostoevsky
Before judging or criticizing another soul, try, please try to see that person through the merciful eyes of Jesus…he wants to love that particular soul through you!

Keeping your heart and mind open
All in, all the time
“Whatever I have tried to do in life, I have tried with all my heart to do it well; whatever I have devoted myself to, I have devoted myself completely; in great aims and in small I have always thoroughly been in earnest.” Charles Dickens
I personally have adopted and “baptized” the Navy Seal’s motto: “All in, all the time…for Christ!”
