Thy Kingdom Come!
Dear Friends in Christ,
It has been a real pleasure to serve all of you through my daily Gospel videos and reflections. Your supportive comments and emails are very encouraging, and I am glad that this simple service has been useful to you and your families.
Once again, I would like to make my annual request for help. I know that many of you have already been extremely generous in showing your financial support both in DC and NY, so for those who have already given, thank you!! With 14 priests, seminarians, and mission corps young men currently living in our house in DC and 8 priests living in our house in NY, we have a combined annual budget of $250,000 and hope to send an additional $30,000 to our seminary in Cheshire, Ct. to support their needs as well. The donations will be divided 50-50 between NY and DC. Please consider being an ANGEL FOR A DAY, whose support will be felt all year by many, by using the link below to make a tax deductible donation*:

Wisdom comes through suffering
Thy Kingdom Come!
Dear Friends, in Christ,
“His grief he will not forget; but it will not darken his heart, it will teach him wisdom.” J.R.R. Tolkien
My 90 year old mom has buried two husbands, one son, 2 brothers and one sister, (along with 3 miscarriages). She has suffered various physical pains most of her life, and with her super sensitive heart, she feels everything more intensely than most. But her faith is unflappable and her love for God is indomitable…and her spoken words are usually chock full of wisdom and deep insight. Thank you, mom, for your joyful acceptance of God’s loving plan!
God bless,
Fr. Michael Sliney, LC
